THE

IMPORTANCE

OF

THEATRE

SKILLS

Theatre skills are incredibly useful tools in everyday life!

Creating character breakdowns, learning improvisation, and playing various theatre games are designed to help you understand what it means to 'be in the moment', how to 'read a room', freely use your body, and utilize your surrounding space. All these tools prepare you to handle and adapt to just about any situation whether you are at home, school, or at work. Let's prepare and bring to life that audition monologue or scene, add in some fun theatre games, and learn some amazingly handy life skills along the way!

Why is focusing on performance so important?

You can prepare a song and sing it note for note, or memorize a script and recite it word for word, but without fine-tuning the performance aspect, it would most likely fall flat. It's hard to watch someone stand in one place and sing with their eyes closed for an hour. Putting in the time to learn how to break down a song, develop a character, and discover how a piece relates to you, is key to creating a performance that can have a lasting, memorable impact on an audience. After all, performing is all about connecting with the audience and making them feel something! Let me help you make these discoveries...
